I get so frustrated when people make fun or mock H/C and angst fic, because I am the same as you OP. That shit is what keeps me sane some days, and to have people not understand that and openly mock H/C readers and tropes...that hurts.

I see it worst with Eating Disorder and Self Injury fic. And okay, there are some really bad cliche over the top with those topics, but whatever, reading about people going through the same thing and being surrounded by close friends/family that care and help them through it....that helps, and fuck all the people who don't get that and instead want to mock and belittle.
