...A friend of mine once told me about the TNG fanfic another friend of his wrote sometime during the original run. Apparently it was mostly Data running around the ship with a huge erection that just kept knocking over things and jabbing people, but with little-to-no actual sex, and everyone more or less going, "Oh, Data! You wacky android!"

That is pretty much what I envisioned when I read this secret.
