You're reading it wrong, I think. I'm pretty sure the OP wasn't being possessive (hope not, anyway!). It might be because of your age/where you're from, but phrases like that were popular in my high school. Er, both of them. I'm guessing OP's meaning of "only" is similar to how my friends and I use it, like it's the equivalent of "best/coolest/worst/extreme/important/etc".

Examples:
"She has the only ass."
"I have the only crush."
"He's only the hottest guy at school."
"We made the only mess."

It's young people slang, basically. :D Doesn't make much sense, obviously, but slang so rarely does.

(I didn't take it as "possessive" in a bad way anyway. I just thought the OP literally thought they were the only one, which is possible even if I've seen otherwise in this case. I mean, don't this comm get a ton of secrets from people who thing they're the only one who crushes on someone, hoping to be told otherwise?)

Not gonna lie, I've always sort of had a thing for him.
He'd be really sweet and helpful around the house, that's for sure. Only you'd have to be careful not to feed him to much. EVER.
