This (and #23) is about RedPassion (http://redpassion.deviantart.com/) on deviantart. She actually has a whole different section of her FAQ on why she HATES that meanie Lily Evans, which she spells L.I.L.Y for whatever reason, and HER red-haired, green-eyed character is totally different! She even has fan stamps of her OC, who she has also married off to Louis XVI of France, with the same name and facial features but totally different backstory for each. I don't even. I mean, I get that pretendy funtimes and getting a bit crazy with it is basically what the internet is FOR, but don't get so invested that you come charging into personal LJs in fits of fury because someone's mistaken a picture of your OC being all romantic with your woobie for the canon character who looks like her that your woobiekins canonically had the hots for.

Oh gods, you don't mean these folks do that annoying "astral pregnancy" thing, do they? I only recently heard about that nonsense and thought it was limited to certain other things, not fandom.

I've actually never heard of the term 'astral pregnancy' before, but I looked it up, and it is pretty much among the same lines! (This (http://wiki.fandomwank.com/index.php/Snapes_on_an_Astral_Plane) is what I was originally referring to (http://wiki.fandomwank.com/index.php/Astral_Plane), btw).

I'm on board with strong second-hand embarrassment and outright disgust over this, but invoking "bystander consent over wanking material" seems too far. I will gladly retract that if she actually is posting anything explicit - as I have never heard of this person before today or outside F!S - but pictures of two fully-clothed people pretending to be characters doing vaguely couple-ish stuff is not something inappropriate to post in a public space.
