I want to like her, but it seems like all her defining moments happen offscreen. What we see is mostly Harry thinking she's really hot and awesome, and we're told all the ways she's cool but it's mostly just a bunch of informed traits. I like the person I can reasonably assume her to be (and I like her more in the movies, where I feel were shown a little bit more about her) but she isn't really there enough in the books for me to form a strong opinion either way.

I think people just don't like being told "hey this character is really great okay you should love her."
