this. People keep going "oh, the original trilogy was corny" and yeah no. The original trilogy was cheesy at points, yes, but it succeeded in basic compelling storytelling, when the prequels have seriously flawed storytelling in addition to terrible dialogue, bad acting, bad CGI/green screen, etc.

Also the original embraced its cheesiness as fun. The sequels take themselves more seriously and are plodding.
