I like books!Sookie but I find her annoying and self-centered in the TV series most of the times. In the books you can tell she's got a dry sense of humour sometimes and she's a practical person with practical worries too. I miss that in the TV show. And her love stories with Bill and Eric were beyond boring, imo.

Don't get me wrong, I love her sometimes too. She was awesome when she poured Talbot's remains down the sink or when she mocks the way Bill speaks. She's got her moments. But I really think she isn't as good in the show as she is in the books.

Nothing against Anne Paquin, btw. I remember how cute she was when she won her Oscar and I love her as Rogue. But the writers aren't doing her any favour.

Ah, so you're talking about TV!Sookie. I haven't watched enough of the TV series to have an opinion on Sookie's TV version. I caught two episodes on TV, and decided I would stick to the books after seeing how the writers chose to portray Bill.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you liked book!Sookie. She's one of my favorite female characters in... well, anything, really.
