21. Yaoi fangirl here. Can't say I totally agree. Mostly cause I can't read bad shitfics. If it's crack and decently written, sure I'll go for it, but crappy ass song fics and the other bad stuff, just can't tolerate it. And as much as I like the hot guys getting it on, sometimes that's not what I'm there for *gasps* I know! Sometimes I want like plot and character development and stuff. Shit! What's wrong with me?!

I never got the point of song fics. Pointless, really. But YEAH. Yaoi fanboy here. D: Sometimes plot and character development makes it, honestly, hotter.

I will admit, I wrote a few because that seemed to be a popular style at the time I entered fandom (a hundred years ago x_x). I've long since realized how awful they are ;_; So embarrassing. It's hard to incorporate a song into a fic that makes it even slightly useful or interesting. Most people shouldn't even try.
