TL;DR most definitely. D:
Makes no sense? I agree~
5- Hm. So then, what does that make me? I'm female, and an anime/manga fan, but I dress like a man. Huge T-shirts, jeans, boots, whatever a guy wears, I'm on it. I've even been mistaken for a guy a couple times. Since when did anime and manga fans supposedly try to dress to match what they're fangirling? Blatant misconception, and actually kind of insulting. Sure, I realize that some people have the money to waste on clothes like that, and they're stupid for it, and I realize that others can't afford it, but what's so bad about it? They're doing the exact same thing you are: dressing the way they want to. And if people recognize them as being anime fans and scorn them for it? So what? Those people are close-minded and stupid. If people look down on fans for being anime/manga fans, and you dress to make it look like you're not, isn't it a little bit sad that you can't be proud of who you are?
Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. They're just clothes. What's so bad about being the baa baa black sheep? D: Isn't it better to be exciting than plain? What would be the point to just blend in? You'd be just another Agent Smith. [And yes, I did just make a Matrix reference.] It's diversity and weird people that make life interesting, otherwise it wouldn't be worth living. D:
16- Me too. D: Especially since about half of the characters I currently play are underaged little boys.
18- Hell, I'd read it. In fact, I think I saw something like that a while ago. o__O Is there a link to it that I might kidnap? ;D
21- Random yaoi is fantastic sometimes. In fact, hell, I say bring it on! But I have to completely disagree with you. I've seen plenty of Gary-Stus and Mary-Sues [well, not in yaoi], and they just keep getting worse as they go. I don't quite see how hardcore smut and mpreg are the same, though. I love the harcore shit, but mpreg scares the hell out of me. Not because of the physiological problems, but because it would hurt so much for a man to carry and bear a child. I love other fangirls, because it gives me someone to talk to. What's your point?
23- I agree. D: Lexaeus is amazing, and it's really sad that people like him just because he's in OrgyXIII. I mean, come on, can't he be awesome just for being who he is? D: I also hate it when people like him only because he 'looks so good paired with so-and-so other Organization member' blah blah blah. I want to go to these people and say "Hello, this is Lexaeus. He's number five in the organization, wields a giant tomahawk, has a personality and [non?]life of his own, and is not some accessory to be pasted onto the nearest person's ass. Thank you, and good night."
24- That can mean one of two things: 1- that people are too immersed in their predefined definitions of art to see how hard people work on their stuff, or 2- that people are whores and consider some artists to be gods, therefore rendering everyone else's stuff worthless because it's not up to their standards. Personally, I think the second option runs true. Everyone's so caught up in what they think pictures should look like that they don't care about the time and effort that those 'not up to the standard' put into their work. It's aggravating, and stupid. [Can you tell I'm of the same breed as you? ;D] All I can say is that you just get over that feeling. So what if no one appreciates it? At least you liked it enough to have the balls to post it up for other people to see. That in itself should be enough, I'd think~ ^__^
