Yes it is, but not to OP's friend who probably thinks saving someones soul is far more important than Sherlock, or the Hunger Games. OP needs to make it clear to their friend how they feel if it's bothering them that much.

Yes, but attempts by anyone to 'save my soul' are not wanted. As an Atheist I'm sick of people worrying about my soul and I think it's utterly obnoxious for anyone to try and force their religious beliefs (or lack thereof) on someone who is not interested. Much more obnoxious than trying to get someone interested in a fandom, since in the former you're basically telling them that their way of life is wrong to you and in the latter it's more "this is cool you might enjoy it"
