and as fucking usual pro-choicers don't give a fuck about the child once it's born. what a surprise.

isn't it pro-lifers who don't give a fuck once the kid is born? sure, they'll do everything they can to get you to pop that sucker out, but if you need aid/support after that? lol see ya

I've donated to charities aimed at helping young mothers. What have you done lately to support women who make the choice to have their children, even if it's difficult?

Yes, because one individual completely overrides all of the laws in this country that fuck over those who choose to have the baby, made by the same people who want to force all who get pregnant to keep their child.

You're just one of those people where it'll never be enough for you, aren't you?

Put up or shut up. I've done something to support single mothers, which is apparently more than you can say for yourself.

You may not like what other people do, but guess what? Not everyone is a hypocrite like you want to pretend they are.

Stop pretending that you care about the children when you oh so clearly don't.

You are completely missing the point. It's great that you are doing something as an individual, but the truth is that the people in power who are anti-choice are also against reforming health care and education so that the children that they force to be born aren't well taken care of (since most abortions are had by people of a lower economic class who need aid).

Also, lol way to assume what I give money to and my beliefs.

That's not my problem, I can only control what I do.

Also, lol way to assume what I give money to and my beliefs.

Oh really? Do you give money to single mothers or support wards of the state? Are you not pro-choice?

...I'm waiting.

It's your government so it damn well is your problem!

Yeah, and you don't know who I vote for. Also my moral beliefs are not defined by politicians.

You're waiting, you're still waiting. Chill the fuck out, I'm reading several threads.

I support the United Way of Canada. (Not that that's any of your business)

Additionally, I said that it was you're problem, which it is, regardless of who you vote for and what your morals are.

No, your moral beliefs, at least about abortion, are defined by an utter disregard for women and their wellbeing. Anyone who is 'pro-life' ie anti-choice is inherently sexist.

You know, it's really great that you donate to charities. Really. Go ahead and pat yourself on the back some more over that. It really isn't enough that you mention it every time you post.

But donating to charities doesn't mean you get to have the objective final word on the issue. It doesn't matter what you think about pregnancy. it doesn't matter what you do or where you throw your disposable income. You're one person and you don't have the fucking right to dictate to a woman what she does with her body.

*shrugs* I'll keep bringing it up as long as people keep trying to paint me as not caring about children after their born. And believe me, I've brought it up in maybe... 10%(?) of my posts in this thread.

No it doesn't, but it also means I'm not a hypocrite who only care about the fetus before birth, or only supports choices that are abortion. I'm pretty okay with that. :D

That's great. Do you want me to say you're a step ahead of the other anti-choicers? Congrats. You're ahead of other anti-choicers. Granted, that's not really saying much. ;)

Actually, that you use your donation to charity as justification for your views is pretty repulsive.

Also, not donating to charity doesn't make someone's views invalid. Maybe they don't have the money to spare for a donation?

Nope her body, her choice. It gets sketchy once she starts altering the fetus's body. I am 100% in support of women choosing anything and everything else.

Actually, that you use your donation to charity as justification for your views is pretty repulsive.

And it's not repulsive to demean people as not supporting children outside the womb when you know nothing about them?

Also, not donating to charity doesn't make someone's views invalid. Maybe they don't have the money to spare for a donation?

But it does make it invalid if pro-lifers don't support children outside the womb then because they might not have money either?

Also, it's not like I'm rolling the dough either, Judgy McJudgerson, but thanks for trying to turn my supporting single mothers into a bad thing.

You believe women should not have the right to decide what happens inside their own bodies.

Therefore, you are a bad, horrible person. This is an objective fact. Sure, you can donate to charity and that's a good thing, really, but you are still a bad person because you consider a woman's right to bodily autonomy less important than the potential of an unborn baby. You're sexist. You're wrong. This is not an arguable point.

Well, if you want to get technical, it's not inside her body (in the same way the stomach contents aren't), but I don't think either of use wants to go there. I just believe her choice should be regulated to it prior to pregnancy as much as possible.

However, I actually never said I was pro-life (I'm actually quite undecided), I just said it gets sketchy then. She's not having surgery to make her uterus uninhabitable, she's destroying the fetus. Small but important distinction.

Keep pretending that you know me. I'm most definitely a feminist, because I believe in equal rights for women (you know that crazy idea that women are humans, yeah I believe that). I'm just not sure destroying a fetus's body qualifies, and it's something I've been thinking about for a long time. It's not an easy decision, and if I decided that the fetus is a human life, therefore should never be sacrificed for the woman's comfort that doesn't make me not a feminist.

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2012-04-11 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Being a feminist requires more than spouting off catchy oneliners about believing women are humans.

And, no, just shut the fuck up. Even if we were to count fetuses as people, which I for one don't, it still wouldn't be okay to be against abortion. No one would ever suggest that men should be forced to provide their kidney or bone marrow to someone. Why should women be forced to provide their uterus as an incubation chamber for someone?

In short: Shut up and get the fuck out of this thread, you sexist shit.

(frozen comment)

(Anonymous) 2012-04-11 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
If you don't think a woman has complete bodily autonomy and the right to decide on the contents of her own uterus, you most certainly are not a feminist.

Hahahaha!

Oh wait, you're serious, let me laugh harder.

One, you can't tell my political opinions from one statement, two, I have donated to charities aimed at single mothers. So yeah, you can go fuck off now, Mr. Troll. Or is it really that you care so much about the child?
