I don't really care how morally obligated they feel to share. If I've said I'm not interested they need to stop pushing. I'm not morally obligated to accept their religion no matter how much they'd like me too.

I think I'm just hung up on the word "hypocritical" because in my mind, LOGICALLY, for an action to be hypocritical, it has to be the exact same thing as the comparable action. In this case, I don't see it as the exact same thing.

I don't think that they have to be identical in... er... severity? (I don't know what word I'm looking for... importance? idk) for an action to be hypocritical.

I mean if I said I hated it when people stole my car and then turned around and stole a laptop - obviously it's worse to steal a car, but it's still hypocritical to steal the laptop.

Oh, I know. I used to be really religious, though, and I remember how conflicted I would feel about the whole exhortation to evangelize that came along with my particular religious faith. I personally never really evangelized, precisely because it bothered me more to be rude and inconsiderate towards people who didn't believe as I did... but at the same time I felt like a really shitty person for not living up to my religious ideals.

Nowadays I'm glad that my instinct was to go with courtesy and kindness over my sense of moral obligation, but I still really understand why some people end up becoming pestersome friends when it comes to religion. It's not hypocritical for the OP's friend be annoyed by what some other people do re: fandom while doing the same exact thing in regards to something they believe to be a much more important cause... it's just rude.
