If you've ever seen vegan-sponsered kitchens for homeless people in the way I have, the vegans often try to make homeless people eat meatless diets or chew them out for eating meat outside the kitchen, not understanding that the nuitrition needs of homeless people get cannot be met with vegan diets and a strict health regimen. Which homeless people do not have the time or energy or money to follow through on.
You need to understand the needs of the person in question.

(Anonymous) 2012-04-11 02:06 am (UTC)(link)However, in most cases they can't force people to eat meat because they don't have the power to stop them. I think it would still be wrong to deceive a vegan to pay for meat.
If they want to donate to a vegan kitchen that only serves vegan food, that's fine. The problem is when they try to push their agenda onto you (and vice-versa).
