You lied to them, and the majority will probably hate you forever if you tell them what you actually did with the money because you basically ripped them off. There is nothing that pisses people off more than finding out they gave someone money under false pretenses. If you'd just asked for money to get an abortion, your fans might have given you enough anyway. There was no need to lie.

Except that would have opened the OP up to harassment - potentially in real life as well. It's happened for less. Or don't you remember a few months ago when people's RL addresses and phone numbers were leaked and they received threatening phone calls over pairings?

People have been MURDERED over abortions. Women are frequently pressured into not having an abortion.

I could understand your viewpoint if she'd been asking for money for a health procedure or something and ended up actually using it just to buy some pretty clothes or models or something.

But asking for money for a really quite frivolous reason - getting a new part for her computer - and then using it for an actual serious procedure? I don't understand this. The only possible reason someone could be upset about that is if they're anti-choice, and in that case, fuck them and their sexist aversion to a woman choosing what happens in her body.
