What people in all fandoms need to do is stay calm and be smart. Use cyber-lockers instead of torrents. Use a browser such as Google Chrome and install HTTPS Everywhere. Chrome also has an Incognito setting. Use public wifi to download things, and they can never destroy fandom. They only win if we fly into a panic and let them.

online digital storage like megaupload, i believe. iirc "direct downloads" are usually considered to be more secure than torrents. i don't DL though so i'm not an expert.

...... Well.... I loathe Chrome and can't stand to use it - you can use https on Firefox, too. I can't use public wi fi at all, as i have a pc and that's the only way i can get online. And the torrent/megaupload debate confuses me. Some say torrents is better, some say a site like mup is better. Who knows? Not me.
