Because he OBJECTIFIES WOMEN, USES SEXIST SLURS, TALKS DOWN TO AND DEMEANS WOMEN, etc. etc. I could go on and on all fucking day long here but I've got plans.

Hating and demeaning women outright and intentionally IS NOT ALL THERE IS TO SEXISM. If you think that, you're an idiot. I'm sorry, plain and simple, you are.

He still uses sexist slurs. Against WOMEN, most of the time. He uses them against demons while they're inhabiting female bodies. He uses them against Bela, who is a bad person but NO ONE DESERVES TO HAVE SLURS USED AGAINST THEM EVER. EVER. And that makes him a fucking asshole.

NA Since you seem to be in the mood for it, answer me this question: why do you have icons from sexist works such as Saiyuki and BBC's Sherlock? Oh, maybe because mansex is kawaiii uguu so if there are slashable guys for you it's automatically OK? Not to mention that those shows are also ~problematic~ in other ways as well, so how come that a champion of justice such as yourself uses icons from those shows?

And please, refrain from speaking up for women and for people who suffer from mental conditions in the future. I assume that you are also a woman who suffers from poor mental health, but you are not our spokesman and we have enough problems without you stirring shit up.

As I said in another comment, which you apparently did not care to read, I believe that it is perfectly alright to enjoy and watch problematic media, BUT the important part is to recognize and act/speak against the problematic content (read: DON'T IGNORE IT AND MAKE EXCUSES FOR IT). I have made extensive comments, essays, etc. on the sexism in Sherlock and how and why it is sexist / how and why that's a bad thing. (I don't really consider Saiyuki to be very sexist -- certainly not to the point of Supernatural -- but it does have a lack of female characters who aren't one-shots. Then again, it has.. a lack of characters, period, who aren't one-shots due to the nature of the show. Also, I got into the show and manga when I was about fourteen, so yeah.)

No, actually, you did not made assumptions based on facts and presentations. You made a stance that You > everybody else, that your opinion is somehow more superior and more objective than the opinion of others' and if somebody does not agree with the way you see things they are automatically against you and the things you believe in and you feel authorized to insult them because this is your only weapon.

It doesn't matter whether the others are right or wrong, you decided even before you started responding that your opinions are the right ones and everybody else who responds is eiter a troll or a bigot. You don't want to convince others to change the way they view things, you just want a place to rant and shout at people because insulting others is the only weapon you feel you have, and LJ (along with tumblr) is one of the few places where you feel you can automaticly win an argument by calling the other bigot/sexist/rasict/homophobe.
