OK be honest how apt is the comparison, because I've never heard of this show before but I would watch the hell out of Girl!L vs Girl!Light, and if they are similar enough I'd probably check it out.

The way Emily acts and plans stuff and has a different persona in public is very similar to Light IMO, though she's probably not as evil. Victoria doesn't have that much in common with L, though I guess their relationships are similar.

I feel terribly foolish for not even thinking this to date, and I'm a huge fan of both series.

Not really feeling it. Light was focused on himself and did things to feed his ego, Emily is focused on a particular plan (avenging her father) and is willing to self-sacrifice to achieve it. Also Emily isn't as emotionally vacuous as Light was. She still cares about Jack and part of me believes she cares a little about Daniel too, which creates conflict and makes you not hate her like you would Light.

Victoria of course doesn't have anything in common with L. She does formulate schemes but most of them are achieved through money and connections rather than amazing brain power.

You know, I've never had any desire to watch this show, but because sexy female Chessmasters are something I'd LOVE to see I might give it a shot, in lieu of some good fem!L and fem!Light AUs.
