I don't know why they have to make a project out of it, very dramatic. Doesn't almost every fandom have some stories like that anyway? Just write the story don't make it an event, haha.

Hmm. Any way you go about it, I'm pretty sure that still falls under 'fanon'. I don't think they can ever change canon, no matter how hard they try.

I see this brought up every time there's a Zutara vs. canon argument and as an example of how "crazy" the Zutara shippers are.

While there *was* the idea to create a finale rewrite project years ago, it's been scrapped as far as I know. No one even discusses it anymore.

Some Zutaraians still cling to hope and want the project to live. Certainly not 'no one even discusses it anymore'. So yes, I still call 'crazy'.

Um...that was just someone asking about it on their DA account. Nothing from any of the original ppl who were supposedly working on it, years ago.

It hasn't been brought up in the main Zutara comms in quite some time - a recent post asking about it had crickets chirping in response. Sooo...congrats for finding some lonely schmuck on DA who wants to work on it?

I don't think there's anything wrong with a few people *wanting* it to happen, but for it to actually happen and take root would take a huge effort by many shippers. And I think most Z/K shippers' hearts aren't in a rewrite of any kind, anymore.

lol, I guess because I'm not in the heart of it all, and yeah, it's such a crazy-huge idea that I would be surprised if it got off the ground, but... I don't really see why this is so OMG CRAZY of them?
I mean, I've written far-out AUs of series that I wrote how I wanted to and ended differently from the canon. If people wanted to put together an animation project of an AU ending I could get behind for a series I like, I mean... why not...?
