edited to add that I also wonder why you'd even bother playing a game like BG2 even if it did have a (canon) gay romance. what about the 99% of the game that doesn't involve romance banters? you know, the actual game? do you even care?

and Anomen's a lot more fun if you turn him chaotic neutral iirc.

Man, I find him the exact opposite; to me failing his knighthood quest changes him from an asshole to a whiny asshole which is even worse, while succeeding makes him a lot easier to stand, though I'll still stick to mods when it comes to romance.

(The romantic interjections mod helps too, IMO, some of them did make me soften up towards him the time I played through his romance until the next time a canon love talk made me grind my teeth)

not everyone likes mods/modding and the like? even if it means i like the story less.

if your only reason for not wanting to play a game can be solved with a simple mod and you don't want to install it, then you're just making problems for yourself.

I didn't say I won't install it/buy it, just that if I find a game lacking in something i may enjoy it less , but I'm not going to mod in 'what is missing' . if it's bad enough i can't enjoy the game at all i'll return it to the store (Fable 3). Hardly a problem.

I've no interest in this particular game because it's not interesting to me not because of romance

Some of the lines in the Solaufein mod make me think Weimer was thinking of it being played with a female Charname, but just left off the gender restrictions.
