They're quotes from this character. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minsc) You might notice Boo (the aforementioned hamster) in his character portrait. Here (http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Baldur%27s_Gate_series#Minsc) and here (http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Baldur%27s_Gate_series#Minsc_2) are more of his quotes.

It drives my roommate up a wall when she plays the games, because I know all of Minsc's quotes by heart, and recite them whenever he speaks up. And I've never played the games.
