General sci-fi and comics con, but since this is England nearly everybody cosplays a recognisable character as opposed to just generally being a bunny girl. I'll have the eighties hair and such on my side, and I'm planning to make a skateboard shaped like a flying sword and a big plush raddish. I might also make cupcakes with marzipan daicon to hand out to everyone who doesn't call me Asahina Mikuru.
I'm not really bothered about people thinking I'm cosplaying someone I'm not (or I wouldn't cosplay a redhead in a red Bunny costume, after all) but it's if anybody insinuates anything NASTY, you know? I felt skeeved on at my last con in day clothes, and I wasn't at all impressed. And I'm a fairly tough sort of person, so it makes me really angry when I consider how anybody less thick-skinned might take it. If the guy skeeving hadn't been a friend of my friends, I would have told him EXACTLY where he could stick it, the rest of the restaurant be damned.
