They can choose to ignore the warning or not. I don't recall having the power to force someone's will. I know for myself, I would wish someone alerted me to bad!fic so I didn't waste my time on it. I don't enjoy having my time wasted, but maybe you're okay with it. I meant it as more of a courtesy than anything. It's nice that you find it creepily obsessive. Real nice.
