no subject
when I was a lot younger my grandmother died of Alzheimer's, and my grandfather remarried after a short time. At first 13yo me was upset that he would "replace" my grandmother but as time went by, I matured, and I got to know my step-grandmother (who is now like the grandma I don't have!) I realized he was actually honoring the relationship he had with my grandmother because he was happy when he was married to her, and now didn't want to be alone. He really needs companionship and would be incredibly lonely by himself. I'm so happy they're together now~
