You say you've "discuraged [sic] him from getting into fanfiction", but then you also show him where to find good fanfic?
And why are you dreading the day he joins LJ? Unless you're both in a tiny fandom there's no reason he'll even know who you are. But I can understand why you wouldn't want him sacrificing homework for fanfiction.
