I wear a lot of cardigans to cover up my linebacker shoulders. Thankfully, I don't have to wear a lot of button up stuff (thank you, new casual dress job), but when I do my whole day is pretty much gone looking for one stupid shirt that doesn't make me look like I'm shoving my cleavage in everyone's face or like my grandfather. You're definitely right in that men's shirts tend to fit better. I have to hem them all to hell, though (seriously, fuck being short).

Huh. Maybe that's why I love cardigans so much. I feel practically naked when I'm not wearing one (thought in the climate I live in I'm usually sweating like crazy if I go out in one, it's barely ever cold enough to need sleeves here).

I just tuck in my men's shirts when I wear them, either into a skirt or pants, with a belt. The only problem I have then is the fact that they aren't fitted like most women's shirts (you know, with the "darts" or whatever you call those sewn in) so I have all this fabric hanging loose around the rest of my torso and my midriff. Women's dress shirts are usually sewn to "flatter the figure" but since men [usually] don't have breasts, men's shirts fit the same in the chest as they do in the gut area.
