I find it nearly impossible to wear button-ups. I've resorted to buying larger sizes and then sewing in darts and such.
BUT I did buy a couple shirts on sale at Target once that are AMAZING. The side panels under your arms are knitted, like a shirt, and are stretchy, so the material can go across your chest without gaping(and if it does, you can use a safety pin to keep them together without it being obvious). IDK if it would work for you, but, hey, worth a look?

I bought that shirt in multiple colors! (since button downs that fit and look good on my chest are so hard to find) OH my goodness, they fit like a dream!

IKR? I got a black and a tan one when they were on sale at my local target(bought the last two in my size!), and I wear them all the time because they are so amazing. Literally the ONLY button-down I've found that fits with no adjustments.
I only wish I could afford to buy more!

They are. AND they're breathable and easy to work in and I cannot sing their praises enough. My only itty complaint is that the shoulders were a bit snug on me, but I have broad shoulders so ymmv.

I had the same problem with the shoulders, but they still fit better than most button-up shirts even for being a bit snug in the arms. Usually I have to compromise between being able to move my arms or looking like I'm wearing a tent.

Target needs to hire all of us for an ad campaign. :)

Yeah, when you roll the sleeves up, it can especially get a bit snug. But like you said, it's still better than most options.

LOL I know, right? ;)

wow, thanks a lot! I'm going to go see if they have these in our store on saturday. I hope they do, it'd be great to have some nice shirts to wear that don't make me look like an unflattering cow

they look so comfy...

I hope they have them, anon! They really are fantastic shirts.

Also, for those of you who have this problem, I find that Winners (same company that owns Target) has a lot of clothing specifically for larger bust sizes, too, so you should definitely check that out. I get basically all of my clothes from Winners.

Omg, ty for telling me. XD I'm live in Canada so no Target shopping for me. :P

I get some good clothes at Winners, but I usually have to hunt things down like a hound before I can find something that really fits me. I've gotten better at buying clothes though so it isn't as bad as before, hurray!

I heard they're replacing all the Winners in Canada with Targets, which makes me kind of sad.. I love Winners, it's basically the only place I shop. Nothing else has my style/clothing size.
