Yes! I haven't worn a button-up shirt since I was a kid. I have 36H boobs now, but even when I was just a 34DD, button-up shirts were a no-go. :(

I know that many body types have issues finding clothes that fit, but I have always had very large boobs and hips and a small waist. Although it's the traditionally coveted hourglass shape, nobody makes clothes to fit it. If clothes fit my boobs or hips, they're waaaaaayyyy too big for my waist.

I often end up really upset after clothes shopping because nothing fits, but you're right. Neither one of us should be ashamed about our bodies. I like my body for the most part. Now if the designers could get with the program...

Urgh, I hate clothes shopping so much for the same reasons as you and my friends just don't get why I get so upset with shopping and prefer to 1) avoid doing it as much as possible 2) hate being stuck in a store for 6 hours while the push clothes that won't fit on me and 3) it's so upsetting and the more they tell me I'm the perfect hourglass the more upset i get because things. don't. fit

Hm... a friend's wife with a similar figure does a lot of her shopping at vintage stores ('50s and earlier). From what I've heard, in her experience, the clothing needs fewer if any alterations, and are a lot more likely to be proportioned to flatter her shape (this is in the US). Maybe worth a try if there's something like that near you?

Also, I have to admit I have no idea how good this site for jeans is, but man do I love the name:

Shopping vintage isn't bad for an hourglass shape, but the problem is that the clothes doesn't lie correctly and look best on the body unless you wear vintage-style foundation garments with them. And when ordering online, go by the measurements of the garment not the tag size as they were different then!
