It's okay, he gets enough defending any time someone states something barely critical about him. His fans are disturbing.

Oh my god, same. I never really loved him much on SNL, but I absolutely adore him now. He's just such a kindhearted person. I love his enthusiasm, especially when he's interviewing someone not that famous; it must make them feel awesome. (His interview with my beloved Jack Huston is one of the greatest things my eyeballs have ever beheld.) I had no idea he had so many tween fans until I went to go see him at Barnes & Noble, but boy does he. O____________o He was totally enthralled and going "oh my god, you guys are amazing, I love you so much" and it was precious, but also a bit alarming.

I dislike the pairing because it received no development. All we got was a flashback showing Mai had a childhood crush on Zuko when they were like, eight, and suddenly the next season they were sucking face. I had a hard time trying to understand how it worked and I couldn't see the chemistry at all. The Beach episode especially made me cringe.

And Mai herself is too cynical for my tastes. I usually love a good cynical and sarcastic character, but she in general just had a bad attitude and didn't seem to give much of a crap about anything and it bothered me. )8

he usually says something that makes an interview momentarily awkward, but he's gotten so much better at it and i'm sure he'll calm down eventually. anyway, he seems like such a sweet person and a good inspiration. also, i've seen some jfal fans on tumblr who aren't tweens. and another thing, a.d. miles is brilliant.
