(Anonymous) 2012-05-05 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)I agree. This is the same reason professional writers for TV and movies and shit don't read every piece of fanmail crit they get. Because it's mostly a waste of time and 99% of it is from people who don't know shit about writing, but are still sure they could do it better than the people whose actual jobs it is to write.
I dislike that people don't feel free to leave crit, but I also dislike the idea that if somebody leaves crit, it must be quality crit always and the author should read it and be thankful and keep it in mind, and if they don't they're an asshole. That's not how it works.
