Seriously? And I though the books were creepy enough as it is. I assume Edward is a 1000 year old vampire or something, so who was younger than her? Jacob?

Jacob is a year younger than her by about a year, yes.

But I'm pretty sure the drama was that she was physically older than Edward was when he became a vampire. Like, the fact that he became a vampire at 17 and she turns 18 and then 19 before being turned into a vampire is a bid deal.

he's mentally trapped at 17 too isn't he? I can't think of a more hideous fate than to be mentally trapped as a teenager myself though. So many things that teenage brains by nature of sheer physiology are incapable of understanding.

Does not make twilight any less creepy though

...your brain is mostly developed when you're a teenager tho. you're not cognitively stunted, just inexperienced.
