Whether it's Asami or not, I DEFINITELY want a character like this. It doesn't justify the actions of the extreme Equalists but I suspect that there is something fucked happening in Republic City to the non-benders. There is at least something pretty wrong with the fact that there are apparently no non-benders on the Council.

And the fact that the council just basically criminalized chi-blocking, which is one of the few ways non-benders have of (non-lethally/non-permanently) evening the odds in a fight. That's kind of like the police outlawing mace when there are gangs running around with guns.

I know that it's under provocation, but I can't help but think that the harder they crack down, the more they're playing into Amon's hands- and proving that he has a valid point in there. The more force they use against his movement, the more they begin to resemble the tyrants he's painting them as.
