Except it's OP calling them a BNF and treating them in scenario 1 as a ""BNF"" instead of the BNF saying it about themselves?

I know. What I mean is I find the entire idea of being a "BNF" stupid and OP seems to only want to talk to them because they are "BNF"s. Like one of the anons said, the concept of BNF is sad, but being a follower/"fan" of one is even sadder.

* And by "fan of one," I don't mean that it's sad to like their work, but to glorify them and pine for their friendship.

Oh, that makes more sense then. I only commented because it sounded like you were saying all "BNFs" had their heads up their asses even if they werent the ones calling themselves that and it was OP idolizing them.
