I literally JUST got this event today. Even better, I have the Ruler Designer DLC and was playing as the Starks (with Ned as King of England) when I got it.

Haha, I felt the same way when they announced it, but try out the demo (http://www.crusaderkings.com/media/demos) to see how you like it, I downloaded when they released it and pre-ordered pretty much right after my first playthrough, there's so much more to do.

It takes a while to adjust but I love it. I tried to go back to the first one as a nostalgia kick a couple weeks ago but it just highlighted how much better the second one is.

And a couple of LotR references in EU3 (become king of Gonder, Saruhan's flag) and a Lovecraft reference in Victoria 2 (load up as New England.) Paradox are awesome.

(And not just for the references, either. The devs are active on the forum and patch their games plenty even after the initial bugs are gone. I love those guys.)

OP mentioned that s/he bought a legit copy when it actually came out. I see no harm in her doing so. Now, the *option* to do so is the morally bad (sometimes morally ambiguous) issue. But how she handled it was acceptable.
