OMG, others do exist! :D So good to know I'm not alone - everyone I've encountered thus far has been rather... gruff about their dislike for the show. Often asking me about the state of my life and how sad it must be in order to enjoy it. :/

As for fic, I haven't been able to find much of anything. Couple small things, one offs on ff.net, but otherwise... *sad panda* But I've been quietly (and so slowly) working on one of my own, an AU - Ming succeeds, war comes to Earth, etc - type deal.

I just don't understand pissing on someone else's parade, tbh. I like what I like. Other people like what they like. It was a quirky show and it had moments that were really fun and funny. Okay, it wasn't Shakespeare, but not everything has to be for me to enjoy it!

That makes me sad panda, too. I LOVE the sound of your fic! Wow, I wish I knew who you were -- you sound awesome and I'd love to read that when it's done!

It was Aura/Barin for me, especially toward the end of the season - with the occasional Aura/Barin/Baylin.

I also loved the Dactyls, both as a group and as individuals. I love imagining what their society was like (seeing as how we never really got to see much of them when they weren't on the war path for whatever reason).

I used to love him ENDLESSLY, with a devotion almost as close as my absolute devotion to fellow Vancouverite Christopher Heyerdahl.

You have shamed me and my forgetfulness of Barin, anon op, who was TOO HOT for my puny braincells to immediately recall 5 years later.

I must now rewatch the entire series to rectify this matter.

YES TO BARIN/AURA!!! I now remember adoring them. I shipped so much in this show.

I'm happy to have helped bring back some Steve Bacic love to your life, fellow fan! I have to say, not only was he scrumptious in the show, but he did a fine job acting wise as well.

One of my favorite moments - other than the whole Scheherazade thing Barin and Aura had goin' on - was when the two of them were taking portraits for the bonding and fighting over everything. That was definitely the moment I started shipping them.

Were we really that small of a viewership?? This was before I got into knowing ratings and how it worked for my shows and I was just floored when I realized there'd be no new season of this show. I didn't know it was doing that poorly, totes not a huge hit but omg. I loved it! And they finally got into their stride with characters and backstory! I so wanted to know more about the worlds and about Warrior Girl's past (cause right now sadly i don't remember any of their names aside from flash duh lol) and her past relationship and of course I really wanted fic of how that planet got inhabited (from earth) and yeah. Just got to be so well and bam! no more. =( So you're not alone op!

And yes, I knew of the original canon beforehand but it never interested me till this. And my dad loved the movie. he'd play it over and over when i was a kid. XD

Y'know what I always liked?

The first Flash Gordon was arecentYale grad. The Sam J Jones version was a pro football player.

TV Flash....gave up his chance to go to college to take care of his mom when she got cancer, and was a small town mechanic.
