A few of my all-time-favorite animes ever are Lady Lady, Fushigi no Kuni no Alice (Alice in Wonderland) and Ningyo Hime Marina no Boken (aka Saban's Little Mermaid).

No shame in that! I love classic shoujo anime! One of my favorites (that you may like?) is Daddy Long Legs, and Judy (the heroine) is pretty reminiscent of Anne, IMO (at the very least in appearance).

After being at Green Gables, and seeing all the Japanese tourists there, I'm not surprised to find that there is an anime.

It always bothered me that the Japanese title is "Red-Haired Anne." Why did they change it from the name she gave herself because she loved her home to a name based on the feature she hates the most about herself?

(Sorry, I know that's not the anime's fault since the book was translated first. This secret just made me think of it.)
