He is Vic McNuggetMignogna, an anime voice actor most famous for playing Edward Elric and Tamaki Suoh, and for being super religious and rather homophobic. There is a big long thread on him in some forum where rumors popped up that at conventions he would hit on underage female cosplayers of Edward.

Oh, I totally forgot about him in Macross! Yeah, he was really bad, IIRC, and I sort of remember him pronouncing things weirdly? Unless my nostalgia glasses are tinting things, he actually was pretty good as Ed (though obviously nowhere near Romi Park), and he was passable as Tamaki, but he's so limited in what sort of character he can play that it makes no sense that he has as many roles as he does. I haven't seen the Tsubasa anime, but from reading the manga I can't imagine him as Fai at all.

I mean the character was kind of a dumb BRO to begin with but it seems like I would've been more sympathetic to him had he had a different VA
