er lol those guys pictured in the background are hardly "yakuza" enough to be taken seriously unless you consider petty drug dealers and low level mooks to be serious Western "mafia"

I wasn't talking about DRRR in particular, just that Japanese people can't be thugs. Obviously, most of the gangs in DRRR are just filled with losers (well, at least the ones I've seen so far, I'm only seven episodes in).

"thug" isn't what you'd call high-level anything though, ofc no japanese thugs are serious business level, no anywhere thugs are serious business level
