That was my first thought really. That's the main thing that's gotten me about the fandom so far. Very little of the fic seems quite as angsty as it should. Melodramatic, yes, but not much rings true.

Ever since I got into Regina/Emma I just want angsty one-sided "Regina loves Emma... but oh shit, she's done so many terrible things, how could anyone forgive her but she just wants happiness etc" fic.

I normally love happy fic but all I want from Regina/Emma is angsty unrequited love.
