I sorta agree - Shining Armor's sudden appearance had actually made lot more sense to me if Twilight and he had had an estranged and problematic sibling relationship, for instance. Still, I kinda like where they went with part 2, lots of action.

Not to mention it kinda undercuts season 1's "Twilight must learn about friendship" thing.
