Yeah, I see reams said about the Belgariad/Mallorean, but not a hell of a lot for Eddings' other books (not that I have anything against the Belgariad/Mallorean saga).

I personally hate the Elder Gods series, but that is mostly because of the blatant retcon ending. The rest of the series was okay if the whole thing of rewriting history at the end hadn't been put in (Yeah, there was a bit of that in Althalas, but it didn't feel quite so shoehorned in).

I have this book, I had great fun reading it got about 3/4 of the way through and then for some reason I stopped reading it and picked something else up. I may just have to pick it up again if I can remember where it is hiding.
