From what I've seen the Destroy ending gets a lot of preference from fans going with the Indoctrination theory because it's the only one where Shepard resists being indoctrinated. All the images after involving the relays and the Normandy are just hallucinations.

Either way, all the endings suck.

This is the reason why I pick the red ending.

In that interpretation I would probably also have top preference for Destroy.

IT is bunk. Destroy gets favoured because it's been the plan for 3 games, many people find synthesis morally repugnant and control too risky. Killing the geth and possibly EDI is a high cost but the threat of the Reapers is over.

And that Shepard lives is appealing given how sucky the ending is. Maybe the EC will change people's opinions who knows.
