Notes:

If you or anyone you know in fandom writes poetry, check this out. You may be being plagiarized. Note: Please do NOT hassle the publishing company itself. They've agreed to pull the book; we're waiting for it to come down from all the eBook sites. We still don't know the entire contents of the book, though - or who else has been stolen from (there is a clear fandom-author connection, however).

You should try and find a D/S class that teaches subs how to let go and be subs and doms how to take care of their sub. Mine told me that most classes offer group counseling for members who feel that way. There may not be one around the area that you live, but your best bet is to find someone who practices it and learn from them. If they're secure in their preference, hopefully their confidence will give you some heart that this is nothing to be ashamed of. Hell, there are worse kinks. I only enjoy pegging(girl does guy with strap-on), and there are no classes for that near my area and even fewer men who enjoy it.

Well, if you are also into D/s, there are a higher percentage of submissive men who are into pegging. But yes, that does tend to be a less-common kink.

I'm not really too much into certain aspects of D/S, but I do like to dominate in my own way and the BDSM/D&S community is where I could find the closest approximation of what I was looking for. The rigid structure and close attention to rules and boundaries really helps explain what I go for.

Seriously? There are classes like that? I totally thought that was just made up crap for fanfic. Interesting....

[identity profile] micromyni.livejournal.com 2012-05-12 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Well, yeah. I went to those classes so I could learn the rules of being a dom when I realized I was one. Some people would rather have experienced instruction before trying something for themselves, and I was one of those people. In my community's classes, there were different classes for specific kinks. We had two months of basic B/S rules and techniques, then we were split off into separate kinks. Lucky for me there was a class on anal for both men and women; I figured it was close enough. Our instructor was a general practitioner, and she brought in her husband as a volunteer on how to give a prostate massage. I miss going to those classes, and I haven't found one in Ballarat.

This sounds incredibly dubious and one-true-wayish. What exactly do they teach doms in those classes? Because there are few things apart from common-sense-security things that you wouldn't have to re-negotiate with every single individual partner.

Sorry if I made it sound that way, but I didn't want to have to write the entirety of what I learned. It was mostly introduction and overview and connecting classes to other groups in the community, and forgive me if I don't want to say any more as you sound slightly hostile and judgemental.
