I think I'd be ok if the Reeds are cut out. They're some of the most wonderful, good-hearted people in Westeros, but I'm pretty sure the basic structure of the plot won't be radically changed if Osha just tells Bran to head for the Wall.

One secondary character I'm wondering about is Jeyne Poole. Since we were never introduced to her in season one, it seems like it might read a little "oh hey, deus ex machina, btw" when Theon recognizes her at the Deadfort. All they needed to do was take 45 seconds in season one to have Theon say something about Sansa being inseperable from her BFF Jeyne, and then have the camera cut over to the girl, but noooooo.....

actually Jeyne is there. No formal introduction and I WISH there had been something about how she got taken away from Sansa around the time Ned was killed, but in the first episode there's a girl we see with Sansa every time she's apart from her family who I thought must be Jeyne (and apparently ~officially is)



and Sansa mentions her a few episodes later, when Septa's quizzing her on royal trivia and she suddenly asks "what if I'm queen and I only have girls? Jeyne Poole's mother had 5 children and they were all girls." (I know it's not much, but I'm a big nerd so I squeed)

Jeyne was in the first episode of season 1. Can't blame the producers for that one because ADWD wasn't out yet the so they had no possibility for them to know how important she was going to be tbf.

People still believe that GRRM is telling them everything about what's to come but pretty sure GRRM zips it completely on the contrary.

Didn't someone say in an interview somewhere that GRRM has told the directors how he's planning on having the series end, just in case he dies first?
