I'm not sure why you thought this was secret material. The unabashed hatred for ALL of the endings is quite prominent throughout fandom. I don't think many people will particularly care if you hate one more than the others.

That said, I picked Destroy because the idea that I would maintain total control over the Reapers was too risky. More than that, apparently you don't command them to open up their main gun to be destroyed--you just fly away.

The Synthesis ending I didn't pick because, at the time, the way it was phrased led me to believe the Relays would be destroyed in ONLY that ending, and since Arrival established that a destroyed Relay would go supernova, that would mean the end of all life. It actually seems like that is not the case, but that's what I felt at the time.

So Destroy seemed like the safest choice. And since Shepard can live, it also means the Citadel (or at least the area on the Citadel where Shepard is) isn't destroyed.
