I think I used to have some sympathy for Cas fans, but after all the whining about how his "death" wasn't ~meaningful enough, I've got none left. He's a secondary character. Secondary characters on this show get shortchanged and forgotten about and written off in all sorts of ways. Get over it.

How is a comment about people's feelings about the treatment of secondary character on the show not relevant to a secret about… someone's feelings about the treatment of that secondary character on the show?

bobby's secondary too, have you seen that sappy as shit episode when he kicked it? and then they brought him back again anyways? just because it's the show's constantly shitty secondary character treatment doesn't mean it should just be accepted, most of those secondary characters deserved better, castiel's just the most popular.

That's my point. They didn't get it. And it didn't get whined about for six months afterward. It's the nature of the show. I wish Bobby had stayed gone too, even if I kind of like the ghost storyline.

well like i said, he's the most popular, it's to be expected that when he got the short end of the stick the outcry would be the loudest. if i were more optimistic about the writing on the series i'd hope they'd learn from this backlash and maybe the writers would keep some other characters around so it just isn't the Bro Angst Family Circus every week. but i'm not, and lbr, they won't.
