Since this is a Sansan secret...
Why are the responses to this pairing on the internet so extreme? One side treats it like the most unhealthy ship in fiction there is, and shipping it is akin to supporting pedophilia and rape in rl; meanwhile the other side seems to think Sandor is some romantic hunk who would be a great lover if he only worked out some issues, and Sansa's feeling for him don't come from delusions and from being in a really bad place.

I feel like the only person who ships this pairing on a middle ground. I like the interactions and unexpected attraction between the two, but I don't think it should become canon and I also don't think there's anything wrong with shipping it.

Maybe I'm just hanging out in the wrong places on the internet

I used to be more neutral about it. I mean, I never liked it, but I didn't used to have the same "GET IT AWAY FROM ME" reaction that I do now. What changed was interacting with fandom. I just cannot with the way that I kept seeing people romanticize Sandor and the relationship.

This. I was pretty much indifferent to it at first. The obsessive stanning (and the onslaught of shitty fanart invading my tumblr dash) made me hate it.
