If it's any consolation, I've read that real life dogs usually bounce back pretty quickly. In situations where an owner dies, the dog's often confused, they try to find the owner, but after a little while they adjust to the new way the household's going to be. So I'm guessing if a family member left the nest, the dog might not know what's going on for a little bit, but the household minus that person is the new status quo. It'll still remember them and be fond of them, but it won't see them as a permanent household member and desperately want them to live there full-time again. Of course, there are exceptional dogs like Hachiko, but even in those cases, perceived super-loyalty might be more like adjusting to a new routine. It's very possible that Hachiko might have gotten a lot of affection and attention from people at the station while still in that adjustment period, and that became part of his new life. We like to project human emotions onto animals- a dog that continues waiting for his master is grieving to us because that's how we'd interpret a human doing the same thing, but that dog might be experiencing what he's doing in a totally different way.

I'm not an animal expert, just someone who reads things, so if anyone here is an animal expert and I'm wrong, please let me know! But to the best of my knowledge, your dog is probably okay.

But if you can take the time to visit her, and she's still around by now, you probably should. It might not be super meaningful to the dog, but saying goodbye might be important to you when you're looking back on your memories of her.
