Guide to crossposting (for personal experience - I've been posting on Dreamwidth since December and crossposting to Livejournal all that time without problems - the only hiccup I have is if I have links to specific posts on either LJ or DW, meaning my friends on LJ will get directed to DW, or I'll be directed to LJ for older posts)
Getting an LJ-esque site skin on DW (works almost perfectly, although LJLogin MAY redirect you to Tropospherical Red instead of Purple, meaning you'd get a moment of seeing things in red and the header is still in red)

dreamwidthlayouts (self-explanatory!) dreamcodes (also aimed at RPers, so there's mysterious things like muselists and CR charts, but there's also a collection of profile codes)
All the guides posted above have links to read further, too. Fandom on DW is pretty small, I'll freely admit that - but that doesn't mean we can't make it bigger!
