I dunno, I can see them bringing in a Sif/Thor/Jane love triangle in the sequels. They seemed to hint at it at the end of Thor. It's not really my cup of tea tbh, so hopefully it will be well done.

I'm curious, what makes you think it won't happen?

Maybe they'll have Sif have feelings for him, but Jane is the designated love interest and played by the big name star. There is no way they'd have anything but Thor/Jane be endgame. Not that I dislike Thor/Jane, I just prefer Thor/Sif.

Yep. They might bring in a love triangle but Jane was the first one Thor expressed a romantic interest in so by default I think they'll turn out the endgame couple. Even if Sif is 10x more awesome.

Yeah, that's a valid point. OTOH since Sif is one of Thor's main love interests in the comics (if not THE love interest - and his wife in the myths), I strongly suspect that they will want to explore their relationship at some point.
