I saw them in NYC XD They're awesome. Though I'm not like. A rabid fan. The concert was hilarious though. Everyone and their mom (literally) was screaming "PETE PEEETTE". I had no idea who he was so I felt a little strange.

1. Yeah, me too. I like my PlayStation more than I like most people in general :(

11. Haha, sneaky! I met my best male friend in fandom... so I tend to assign genders to people randomly if they're unconfirmed to me, rather than assuming everyone is a girl. Although I'm usually wrong anyway -.-

13. The Harry Potter fandom is insane. Often unbearably so. I'm sorry it killed your love for the series :( that sucks.

Word, good sir.

22. For me it's a matter of "love the characters, hate the arc." Especially because the second half of Hidan and Kakuzu's arc features none of the things that made them entertaining characters in the first half.

>:| I love the entire female cast of One Piece. And it is possible to like the slash without vehemently hating every scary vagina that might get in your way.

Hahaha! Honey and Mori are made of such win :D

2: what series is that? (it looks neat ^^)

15: Exactly the reason why I like House!

I don't even read Naruto anymore (stopped, what 3 years ago?), but I think this guy is pretty cool. And fun to make icons of?

(in b4 "you're a shame to all fandom if u dont read series n think character is hot desu")

[identity profile] kurachu.livejournal.com 2007-07-18 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
9. Dude. What. How is that possible. They're AWESOME characters!

12. God yes. Some friends on my flist met up and went to a concert and they were like, "UGH TEENYBOPPERS DON'T THEY KNOW THE OLD STUFF IS BETTER?!" Who the fuck cares, people, it's the same group but a different song. It's not horrible. >_>

15. :'c

17. ...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. OH GOD I LOL BECAUSE I INSPIRED PART OF THAT PAIRING AHAHAHAHAH. Oh god. :'D I miss that old stuff. Mebbe I'll go relive the past with old YYH/NW logs.

21. Oh. Dude. Yes.

23. I love that movie so much. I think it's one of the best movies ever created.

[identity profile] lapifors.livejournal.com 2007-07-18 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I used to have loads of Ouran icons... then I gave a lot of them the boot for my Scrubs ones.

*feels bad now* Mori is in need of more love.

15 -- I don't watch it but I'm pretty sure the fact that he's abrasive is House's charm. And come on, the science on television is almost never accurate.
imugi: (no love is stronger than mine.)

13. Me, too.

21. YES. Someone had to do it.

17. DORK. ♥

12. AND THEN there are those people that shake their fists at others because the new fans discovered the music through movies or anime or something.

17. HUR HUUUURRR the fact that it got here made me lol so much. I love my spouse. +_+

...

AGONYYYYYYY FAR MORE PAINFUL THAN YOOOOUUUURS

[identity profile] nanakibh.livejournal.com 2007-07-18 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
10. I know what you mean. XD
13. Opposite for me. I love the fandom and hate the books. XD wtf, right?

[identity profile] smurfyfredels.livejournal.com 2007-07-18 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
10. *raises hand* Me too! Can lead to much confusion.

13. Preaching to the choir, totally.

Y'know, the first time I saw it, it didn't do a whole lot for me. It was pretty flawed, and at moments eye-rollingly stupid. But I saw it again because it was free, and I became obsessed. I KNOW it's not that awesome, but...I can't help it. I'm in love with it. Completely.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-18 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I know that TV science is often not entirely true (sometimes even Mythbusters make grave mistakes; they're pretty good about their science) but to my friends it seems like a selling point. "You like Science! Here watch this Medical Show!"

People seem to not understand that I don't like Abrasive characters either. fsflskjflaiejtlskdfASSHOLElasfjlskdfj D: (At least he's just a TV character, I can live with that, as long as I don't watch.)
hughes: (under the knife;)

15. So long as you're not bashing the people who like it, I can respect your opinion. :) As far as why I love it, however, I think that so long as viewers can suspend their disbelief about a lack of realism (I mean, if you're talking about faulty science, talk about CSI), and take all the medical mystery at face value, it's still very enjoyable for those of us who don't have more than a normal person's understanding of how diagnosing an illness works.

And as far as House? Yeah, he's a real asshole, but I think his appeal is that he's a brilliant asshole who tells off a lot of people and points out a lot of things that normal people wish they could bash, and he's funny about it, if sometimes (okay, a lot of the time) cruel. Of course, he isn't a hero because of that, and it's his obvious faults and secret vulnerability that make him forgivable, I think.

So there, your friendly explanation. XD;

I guess it's just because it's easy to guess at times? I admit I ended up guessing the end of the movie halfway through it, but it was really cute how it all ended even though I knew what was going to happen.

[identity profile] sarajayechan.livejournal.com 2007-07-18 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
4. LOL Max/PJ. XD

9. Ouch. D:

20. OH SHIT I RECOGNIZE THAT FROM ANOTHER SECRET.
